In certain circumstances it may be possible to obtain a missing beneficiary indemnity insurance policy to protect the administrator or executor against future claims.

However, these policies are only available once all reasonable steps have been to taken to find the missing beneficiary or beneficiaries. In most instances an insurer will insist that these efforts are made by a reputable firm of professional probate genealogists, whose work they are familiar with.
